On Oct. 22, 2015, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency published the final National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Electronic Reporting (eReporting) Rule, found in the Federal Register at  80 FR 64063. The regulations, found in Code of Federal Regulations 40 C.F.R. Part 127, require electronic reporting and sharing of Clean Water Act NPDES program information, instead of a paper-based system. The department uses currently developed systems, such as Electronic Discharge Monitoring Reports (eDMR) and Electronic Permitting (ePermitting) systems, to comply with the NPDES eReporting Rule. These existing systems will need to be enhanced, or new systems developed, before the rule can be fully implemented in Missouri. Below you will find information related to the department’s implementation of this rule.

For questions or comments, you may contact the department by email at cleanwater@dnr.mo.gov or call 573-751-1300 or 800-361-4827.
